TGO Challenge coast to coast crossing no. 3 completed! Day 12 and 13 took me from Tarfside to Edzell in glorious sunshine then on to reach the coast at Montrose, via the berry farm at Charlton for a treat.

A TGO Challenge catch-up for days 9, 10 and 11 after a few days off grid between Glen Lui and the Angus Glens. I enjoyed the fantastic hospitality offered at Mar Lodge, Callater and Tarfside, and finally crossed routes with other Challengers as we made our way eastwards. The social glue that keeps the Challenge going as the effort of the past week start to catch up with your body. TGO Challenge day 8 was a very long one. A quick jaunt to the top of Sgor Gaoith was the only big view of the day. A bit of bog hopping and river fording in the back country before the clouds stared to draw in. No views from the Angel's Peak, almost zero vis on Cairn Toul, and a wet slither down to Corrour bothy. Almost tempted to stay by the fire, but pushed on to Derry Lodge and got the tent pitched before the skies opened for the night. #TGOChallenge #Scotland #hiking #wildcamping #Cairngorms
